Newbie, Tree Hugger, Perfectionist, Pacifist, Nerd, you name it…I’ve heard it all.

Originally a Detroit native, I relocated to Chicago in 2004. After years of art school, (and many failed attempts to land a job that I felt would keep my creativity flowing), I landed a tattoo apprenticeship at Metamorph Studios under Derek Mullins. After a year (Feb 2007 – Jan 2008) of strict dedication and focus, I became a “professional” tattoo artist.

Now was my time to put my passion for art, to the test. Having an already solid background in art, and challenging myself with every piece, I feel my skills progressed quickly.

After only 2 1/2 years tattooing, Houdini (my boston terrier) and I moved to Burbank, CA in October 2010, to work on Concept Illustration, Creature Design and Sculpting for Tom Devlin’s 1313FX. Then…Somehow…By some freak will of the Gods…My portfolio landed in the hands of Dennis Halbritter and Kat Von D, and I got “the call”…

I’m honored to work with such seasoned and accomplished artists. I feel this is the next step in the natural progression of my skills as an artist.

I’m looking forward to adding a new flavor to this already amazing crew.

Q: “What’s your style/favorites/interestes when it comes to tattooing?”
A: I enjoy Organic Realism, Nature, Black and Grey, Horror Movie Portraits, Animals, Graphic Novel/Comic Book Inspired Art, Dark Art, Anything StarWars, Batman and Horror Movie Related…

Q: “Who inspires you as an artist?”
A: WOW…that’s a tough one! Well, to name a few, I’d have to say some of my biggest influences would include: Sam Kieth, Bob Tyrrell and Nick Baxter.

Q: What exists in the world outside of tattooing for you? Hobbies, etc.
A: When not tattooing I’m spending time with my son Houdini (my pup), watching Horror Movies, Drawing/Painting, Writing/Playing Music, Sculpting, Traveling, etc.

Q: Any inspiring words for the viewers at home?
A: Never give up…
Never be satisfied…
Never get comfortable…
Always push your skills…

I believe, “If you can make the next piece of art better than your last, and keep challenging yourself, than you will never stop growing as an artist!”
